Gwynn -

I'm sorry, but after the first emergency room visit, has your daughter been examined again? Her symptoms are certainly significant. If there is any delay in seeing the rheumatologist, it seems reasonable to be very assertive in requesting for her to be seen ASAP. I wish you both the best while you work through this.

An update on my daughter. The swelling has gone down somewhat...butshe still cannot walk on her leg. In fact she says she cannotstraighten it as it is to painful. We noticed a bruise behind her kneeand blotches where the swelling was. I am still worried about dvthaving read about it.....would it be at all possible that the clotcould have been undetected and a piece broke off and got lodged in herupper leg??Anyway, other than not being able to walk she is looks much better. Weare going to see a rhumatologist as soon as possible. Any morefeedback would be welcome. ThanksGwynn mother of daughter (19) PSC and UC 2006 vasculitis 2005
