Has anyone heard of Ashwagandha? I went to my local health food

store and the lady suggested taking this herb. She said that it

would bring my thyroid up to normal anywhere from as little as 1

week to as much as 6 weeks. She said to watch my temp and make sure

that I wasn't getting too much. She said I may have to back off of

my Armour as it brings it up. Has anyone tried this or heard of

this? I just wanted to get some ideas before I tried something I

knew very little about.

Also she said that I should test my temp under my arm in the

morning. Is this how you guys do it? I always thought under the

tongue was more accurate but she said under the arm was better for

thyroid.

Thanks for your guys thoughts on this.

Thank you so much for the link. It sounds like it isn't something I

want to take. Anything that is a sedative or anything like that

seems to raise my blood pressure to an unhealthy level.

" As a central nervous system depressant, or tranquilizer, the herb

should be used in moderation. "

Thank you so much. You have really helped.

Thanks,

IMHO I think you cannot go wrong if you take your temp by the method from the

Thyroid revolution http://www.thyroidrevolution.com/solutions/taketemp.htm

The underarm method gets all mixed up because the normal temperature is less

than the oral temperature.

I've used Ashwaghanda off an on for some time and think it is one of

the best herbs for adrenal problems. It helps. Other herbs like

Guggulsterone and cordyceps are overly stimulating to the adrenals

and they seem to just tire them out more.
