Also, my doctor told me to look up Zanaflex, and gave me a few samples

(I have to talk to him again before I start them). Is anyone on this

muscle relaxant? How severe are the side effects, especially being on

Zoloft? Does it help with the muscle pain, or just relax the muscles?

Or both? I would like to try it, as I've thought for months that a

muscle relaxant would be of great benefit, but I feel I need more

info. Anyone who can, please let me know.

Thank you, and take care everyone.

Hi ,

I took 4 mg of Zanaflex at bed time for about a year. I was (still am) taking

alot of other meds too, including Prozac. I didn't have any bad side effects

from it.

My family doctor switched me from it to 10 mg of Flexeril at bed time to see if

it would help better. I think I did better on the Zanaflex and am going to ask

her to change it back when I see her again in June. I am going to ask her if she

can give it to me twice a day, instead of once tho.

All I can say is try the samples and see how you do. I've heard alot of people

talk about how Elavil zonks them out and it didn't hardly faze me at all. But

then, I can't take anything with Codeine in it, or Ultram. We're all different.

I had good luck with prozac. It made me less fatigued and I lost some weight.

After a year or so, it

loses it's effectiveness and does nothing.....The dose than has to be increased

or you have the

option of being weaned off of it. I chose the latter this time around......

Best Wishes....
