Guest guest
I have been taking zanaflex for the last two months and I think it helps. I do not have as much muscle pain especially in my legs at night. So far I haven't had any side effects. All of a sudden I have terrible hip pain only in one hip. The doctor is saying it's arthritic changes. Seems rather weird to me since it came on suddenly and runs from my hip to my knee. None of the other joints in my body are flaring up so why would just one? Any ideas? (Oh I have 2 kinds of arthritis and fibromyalgia) Thanks,
Guest guest
Cathy, I too have thyroid problem with my frbromyalgia and also arthritis too and panic disorder I have bad panic attacks!! I have pain all over in my hips my doctor says it is due to just weight but I don't think it is the real culprit it don't help I am sure. But my pain also goes down my legs. I have shoulder, back, neck, chest, arm, elbows pain also and the weather don't help. If cold I hurt if to humid I hurt if rains or rainy looking I hurt. I am up with pain alot and during the day I stay home due to the pain also. I alternate meds helps for awhile!! Then I start all over again!!! I can't sleep either at nights I rest better in the day sometimes!! I also have 3 sister's 2 of which have thyroid problems!! shirley Re: Zanaflex and Hip pain , It strange, I too have been having more hip pain that usual lately. It goes from my hips down to my knees in both sides. I've also had pain in my arms, shoulders and upper back. The past week has been really bad for me with pain. The fatigue has been horrible for months, but the pain increased just recently. I don't know if the weather has anything to do with it, but we've been having a really cool and rainy spring here. In the past week, we've had plenty of rain and on those days, the pain is worse. I've tried Flexerall and a few other muscle relaxants, but I'm not able to tolerate them. Today, although sunny, the temp didn't get over 50 degrees and I was zonked out all afternoon. I'm wondering, which of you have thyroid problems in addition to your fibromyalgia? I have been tested for the Auto-antibodies for thyroid disease and mine are high, but my thyroid tests always come back within normal limits. Having the auto-antibodies shows I have the potential for thyroid (I have two out of three sisters with thyroid disease). It would make sense since I have such horrible fatigue. Guest guest
I have a hip joing degenerating. I have horrid pain in the thigh of that leg. My Pt says this pain is from the hip joint, that I " limp " and its creating a tightness of the muscles in that leg. I thought it was fibro, since I have many fibro lesions on the thigh. I have been putting off surgery, thinking that it won't change this pain, which is excruciating and depilitating. Why go thru the hip replacement and still have the pain? Really sucks. I am getting remapped friday to see I am clearing at all. I just want to function again. Getting very discouraged!
