Guest guest
Hello everyone. My name is Cinda. I am 33 yrs old, married for 16 years and have a 13 year old daughter. I live in Northesat Georgia ( beautiful foothills of the Appalachia ) I was diagnosed with CFIDS about 11 years ago - after several years of up & down health and job interuptions. at that time Doc said " Nothing that I can do " I was also diagnosed with FM about 2 years ago - different Doc that did not know much about CFIDS - therefor did not really recognize it !!! Have recently seen a new Doc in Atlanta, GA that works with both. But does very little lab work or X-rays ( which are needed with disability claims). I have been pretty much rated extremely severe - but am still fighting with short term disability ( from work) despite the fact that I can't even drive myself to work, much less stay and do any type of work. Other conditions include: Migraines & constant headache, Chemical sensitivities, Light, sound, & smell sensitivities, tempature and humidity sensitivities, tons of medicine allergies, sleep problems - sleep for long periods of time due to fatigue alternating with long periods ( up to 54 hours) of NO sleep, Esophageal reflux with constriction, ulcers, Spasmatic colon/intestine - functional bowel disease, internal hemorrhoids, borderline thyroid disorder, hypoglycemic, Mitral valve prolapse with water retention and chest pains, panic attacks, sicca syndrome, raynaud's phenomenon, vulvodynia, vestibular dysfunction, urethral syndrome, arthritis, cognitive impairments, all 18 tender points, multiple trigger points, early menopause ( began at age 19 ) hysterectomy at age 25 due to cysts, endometriosis and menapause, oopherectomy last year due to tumors, the list goes on. Many of which have been noted by the Doc - others have just been spoken by him. the later being one of the problems with insurance claims !!!!!!! I have tried many meds and treatment - all of which have failed. I will be seeing a new Doc this week for complete physical, x-rays, blood work and EKG. I used to work with this Doc years ago and hopefully he will be open minded. Does anyone have suggestions of particular test that might be helpful? Once diagnosed with FM/CFIDS many doc's put all things under this umbrella - not considering some symptoms could be managed - thus giving us some releif. So this time I am going outside of the FM/CFIDS box to try to eliminate or medicate some of these things. Gentle Hugs to you all & I look forward to chatting with you, Cinda
