Guest guest
RC, Hi! Welcome. I'm sure this is one of the last places you want to be, but I'm glad you've found us! I think you'll find this group very helpful and informative and a great support system. I think second opinions are great things when dealing with something as complicated as PSC. I, personally, go to Mayo ville, but I know Mayo Rochester is an excellent facility from people on this site. One of the hardest things about PSC is that it's such an individual disease. Some of us have symptoms, some don't, some of us have symptoms that others of us don't have, etc. I'll let someone else offer you dietary advice since that isn't really my forte (although I do know that a low-fat diet is usually recommended along with making sure you maintain adequate nutrition since malnutrition can be a problem), but if you'd like to chat about anything else or want whatever little dietary advice I can offer, feel free to contact me. You and/or your husband may also be interested in joining our Facebook group if you haven't already. If you're not already a member of Facebook, just go to www.Facebook.com and sign up for a free account (it's easy). Once you're on Facebook, just search out PSC Partners or you can contact me (Sandi Pearlman) and I'll send you the link. It's similar to this site but mainly for PSCers in their 20s/30s and around those ages to deal with some of the concerns we may have. Good luck with everything!
