Guest guest
Hi. I am a fairly new group member, and I have been diagnosed woith Lupus since November 2003. I am a 27 year old female. I have been tolerating symptoms fairly well until now, but my biggest challenge right now is that I have had migraine type headaches every single day for the past few weeks, sometimes twoce a day. Is this normal? Does anyone else experience this? My doc sent me for an MRI, but results were negative. Is there medication for this? What works? HELP!!! jess
Guest guest
Hi Jess From what my doc says, headaches are fairly common with lupus. I guess the severity depends on the person. Sometimes plain old Advil will be the biggest help, other times I have to go for the stronger stuff! Meg

Guest guest
Jess, I have always gotten terrible migraines with this. They were so bad that they lasted for up to 13 days straight, no relief. I would vomit just from too much light being in a room. Ever since they put me on the Avinza for the chronic pain, it has also wiped out the migraines. I went from having the every month to not having one for about six months now. I don't know if the pain med is covering them up or what is going on but I will take it as long as it lasts, lol a Hi Jess From what my doc says, headaches are fairly common with lupus.
