What are the symptoms? Constant pain and soreness in various parts of

the

body, tiredness and fatigue, sleep disorder, joint stiffness and

swelling,etc...

Has you illness been diagnosed? yes Fibro/CFS

How long did you suffer before you got help? 6 to 7 years

Is there a time that you can remember when it started? not really,

seemed

to have had some symptoms all my life. I had mega female problems and

was

allowed to suffer with those for years, my doctor seems to think that

this

is what has made me worse.

Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you

found this to be a problem also? No. Only gained weight when I was on

anti-depressants for a while after first diagnosed.

Are you on disability? no...haven't worked enough to be able to get it

started...duh..wonder why?

If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability? no

What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications

etc.? Warm baths do help for a while until the body temp gets back to

normal.

Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? YES!! Ambien has

been the only thing that helps but have to come off it periodically or I

become immune to it.

Do you have family that understands your illness? Yes. Have a

wonderful

husband who is very understanding most of the time, but even a saint

would

at times get tired of a wife who is always tired! Daughters, 19 & 21,

understand but don't always remember that there are times that Mom is

just to danged tired to move! The oldest moved back home and seems to understand

less now than she did when she was younger.My mother seems to think that even

after all

these years, I will magically wake up one morning cured! HA!

Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro, have

you? Sugars

What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most? My GP

is

WONDERFUL! He finally diagnosed this after all others had made me feel

crazy for years. He is always there to listen to how I feel and works

with

me with trying different meds since my body reacts to so many different

things and I also build up immunity to meds after a while. He handles

all

of my medical needs right now from this to my allergies that have gotten

worse with this as well. He will refer me to anyone else I need if he

can;t handle things such as my joint pain now. He will be referring me

toan Orthopedic next week.
