Guest guest
Hi everyone. I need some advise. I'm having terrible back pain. I've had trouble with sciatica before, but this is a bit different. The pain is in my low back, through my hips and down both legs. I've got the stabbing, burning, and toothache kinda pains....so bad I've been to the point of vomiting just from pain. Here's the weird part. Normally when I have sciatia..I can lie down and stretch out for relief. This time I can't lay flat. I've been sleeping in a straight chair for a week now. I do see a wonderful chiropractor (grostic method) and he doesn't think this is a slipped disk, but rather leans toward something to do with MCTD/Lupus. I remember someone else in here has back problems (Deanna maybe?) - sorry I can't remember who.. Anyway, does anyone here have back problems connected with Lupus? If so, what do you do to help? I've been taking Lortab and Flexeril....but those don't even touch it. If this is Lupus related I just don't want to have to go thru the MRI's and ortho crap just to find out it's a Lupie thing. Does prednisone help? (I'm only on Plaquenil at the moment. I am in a mild flare right now (nose sore, hives, joint pain, low grade fever, swelling, etc.) I'm rambling...sorry. Please respond with any advice or similar experience. Thanks!! Hugs to yo all!! Jerri
