Guest guest
I know that is such a tough decision, I recently had to think of what was better for me or my twins. It is a terrible decision to have make, but in the long run you really need to do what is best you so you can be better for your daughter. Is there any way that you could have a nurse come in to your home and give you IV steroids, I just had this treatment a few months ago, it was nice to be in my own home and still be there for my kids. Let us know what you decide, we are all behind you in this!!! I really do hope you are feeling soon. Guest guest
Hi everyone, thanks to all of you for your thoughts, it is more of a help than you will ever know. So here is whats happened so far... I suffered all night, barely slept and called my rheumy first thing this morning. I told the woman that the on call doc said I need to come in and see the md. so I guess I didnt sound sick enough or something because i never heard back from them until 6:30 tonight. Basically he said - we need to do something about this. (what a smart one huh?) Anyway, he upped the prednisone and basically I just have to wait it out more. I think what I will do is give it until sunday. and if I am not any better then I will go to the ER. Usually weekend are a bit easier cause even though my husband works, he gets home earlier than on weekdays. Speaking of my husband, someone asked if maybe my doc could speak to him. This is embarrasing - last time I was in the ER in March..I was really sick. They did A spinal tap in the ER and during the procedure the doc looked at my husband and said " you know, she didnt ask to have this disease " ....he acts like all thats important is how it affects him and his job. Its very frustrating that we cant seem to work this out. Some days are better than others. Thanks again everyone. Hopefully in a day or so the prednisone will do the trick! meg
