I'm not sure who posted this (Sheshe?), but it makes me wonder how many

others with fibro. also have elevated sed. rates? Mine has been elevated

for three years, and is getting higher, but all the doctors are adamant

about the fact that fibro. is NOT an inflammatory thing, and is supposedly

not an autoimmune disease, even though some of the alternative health books

call it that.

I'm just wondering how prevalent this is in people who *actually* have been

diagnosed with fibro.?

Hi there..

I truly have to agree with this response about further investigation….a

high sed rate and c reactive protein…something is not being clued

into….and in total agreement about some kind of inflammatory

arthritis…whether sero negative or ra or lupus or any of 130 types or

more…..there is something amiss there….

That is just my opinion though…..what other tests were done..was an ANA

test done or bone scan..

From what I understand it is not uncommon for people to have fibro

and an autoimmune disease as well. Depending on you symptoms you may

want to do some investigation into conditions like rheumatoid

arthritis and lupus. There are so many of them I couldn't list them

all. So has your doctor said about you sed rate and C-reactive

protein?

Bobbi,

I have been diagnosed with fibro and osteo.

Sed rate is normal, in fact, I think the doctors run at least a

million test and they all came back normal except the bone density

showing osteoporosis and the x-rays showing, osteoarthritis and

problems with right foot, ankle, lower leg, hip, mid back.

My rheumy dr. diagnosed the fibro.

Hmm...sounds like there's something else here then that they aren't

finding. I'm not surprised; it took me about 15 years for someone to

diagnose the fibromyalgia that knew anything about it.....

Hmm...sounds like there's something else here then that they aren't
