Guest guest
Dear a C, You and your husband are special people ....chosen to do a special job that most people don't have the strength to handle. You and Mike are the best kind of people .....who can give all their love to those in need and helpless to live without someone like you. I can't wait to see your next baby, and how much you are able to help them......Felicity has really grown a lot in the short time you had her, and you can tell she is now a healthy, happy Baby......with a good chance of a happy life ....Thanks to you and your family. LINDA C. Re: Re:Meg from a Hi Meg, to be honest we don't have strength at all. It's just that the thought of those little babies sitting in shelters for months at a time while their families get it together is a whole lot sadder to us than anything else. We always take a picture of our babies when we get them and then again when they leave to see how much they grew. I always carry them into the house and I always carry them out and put them in the car seat when they leave so that they are not scared or nervous. I have learned to always put the bouncy seat and swing and cradle out in the garage the morning they go BEFORE they leave because otherwise it hurts to much to walk back in and see them empty. This last baby tore me up because as I buckled her in she was smiling and laughing at me and I was cooing back at her thinking the whole time that I don't know if she will be safe. Usually we know they will be safe but this time we didn't. The thing that keeps me going is that I know that there is another one waiting some where and they didn't ask for any of this but at least if we shower them with love and affection during the time that we have them then having to be in foster care wont be so bad for them. Each one that leaves takes a piece of me with them but I think that if we ever stop crying when they leave or giving them 100 percent of our hearts while they are here, then it will be time to stop because that's what they deserve no matter what it costs us. I wish that I knew how to start a huge national campaign to raise public awareness about these kids and how horrible the laws are and underpaid and overworked the caseworkers are. Anyway, I am sending pictures of Felicity the day she came and the morning that she left so you can have a face to put with her name, a meg aThis may be a stupid or naive question - but how do you keep your heart from breaking when you have to give up a child? I am afraid that my husband and I do not have the emotional strength to handle that kind of situation. Anyway...agaun I htink its very admirable what you're doing - you must have a lot of love to give. :)"The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!" She started at 4 and a half pounds and in two and a half months weighed 9 and a half. It was a lot of fun to see such a big change. I was calling her miss piggy there at the last cause she ate so much! I just hope that life goes well for her and that she never needs us again. We can't wait to see the next one either. Did you see our baby Amir that came before her? He went to live with his grandma.
