What has everyone heard about taking birth control with PSC? I take

Yaz, not to prevent pregnancy but for other physical symptoms. It

helps enormously, but I am reading a little more about possible

cholesterol effects. Of course I will talk with my GI too, he doesn't

know I am on Yaz as I was off for several months. I went back on this

month, and get a slap on the wrist for taking them BEFORE asking, I

just didn't think about it. I don't know if the benefit would outweigh

the risk, but the benefit is huge lol.

Hey, ee! Hope your day's going great. For what it's worth, my doctors

told me that I couldn't take birth control of any kind. Unfortunately, I don't

remember the reason anymore.

I hope your case is different and they let you stay on the Yaz!

Hi ee,

I have never been told birth control is a big no no but at the same

time, there is an understanding that it is. I'm 24 and am not

prescribed any birth control at all. Funnily enough back in 2002 i had

the birth control jab and the next weekend i was ill put in hospital

and diagnosed with all this!!! Coinscidence? I think not.

Merry Christmas

I quit THE PILL as soon as I found out I had this disease since they are not good for your liver.
