Guest guest
All this stuff sometimes confuses me and I refer to my sister (who is a med tech and now works in research) who can explain stuff like this to me in easy to understand terms. I'm curious, if most FM patients also suffer from chronic fatigue, and one of the symptoms of chronic fatigue is sore throats (also swollen glands) wouldn't that be some sign of an infection of some sort, and wouldn't that be the reason for a high sed rate? My CFS has been really bad in the past 6 months, and I've had sporadic sore throats and swollen glands. I should be going back to my doc, but hate the whole process...especially since I anticipate him not being able to do anything for me. I sent some info to my sister about the sed rate and hopefully she can shed some light on it for me. If you like, I can share it with the group. Guest guest
Hi kathy, >I'm curious, if most FM patients also suffer from chronic fatigue, and >one of the symptoms of chronic fatigue is sore throats (also swollen >glands) wouldn't that be some sign of an infection of some sort, and >wouldn't that be the reason for a high sed rate? I'm not sure I " officially " have chronic fatigue, although I do have some of the symptoms. I only get sore throats because of my chronic allergies; I also don't get sick with other stuff very often.....an advantage of an overactive immune system, I guess. >I sent some info to my sister about the sed rate and hopefully she can >shed some light on it for me.
