You are having bouts of tinnitus. With the dizziness also you could have vertigo. A good ENT doctor will do testing of your ears. I don't think that tinnitus is a symptom of fibro but there are quite a few that do have it. Guest guest Posted June 15, 2002 Report Share Posted June 15, 2002 Be very careful what you put in your ears. See a doctor before trying anything. No one know for sure what causes tinnitus. The thinking now is that it is somehow connected to the brain. I am a telephone support person for the American Tinnitus Association and I hear from people all the time who want to find out what they can do about it and is there a cure. There is a lot of research going on finally. Hopefully one of these days, we will have medication that will help or even stop it entirely. I have it and I did TNT and it helped me a lot. But please do not put anything in your ear until you see your doctor and do what he tells you to do. Doing otherwise could cause you problems.
