I have a lot of chest pain on the left side of my ribcage, it corresponds to

muscles on my back that always seem to stay in a knot. It's like the pain

goes all the way thru from back to front. Ow!

Hm, I hadn't heard about the muscle relaxants being bad. I would be

interested in that since quite a few FM folks I know take it besides me. I

do know from nutritional science classes I've taken that a balanced diet

with adequate protein, plenty of vitamins & minerals is essential to

maintaining muscles.

I take 10mg flexeril once a day, at bedtime. It helps me sleep, and I'm not

as stiff or prone to muscle spasms in the am. Once after spraining my back

badly I had to take it 10mg every 8 hours. Boy was I loopy! But I sure slept

good :^)

I also am on flexeril. I take 10mg's 3 times a day as I need it. I try not to

take it much. I was on it about a year ago then I went off of it and well, I am

back on it. =-) It does help with the pain. Ann, I know what it's like to get

that pain from back to front. It is the biggest pain in the

back....hehehe.....well, I hope you all are having a great day and I hope you

all are feeling good today. Take care everyone!

neurologist and came highly recommened for treating fm...his wife and daughter

both have it so he is very understanding.

Lots of times for me, this pain is gas pain. It took me years to figure that

one out.

But sometimes, it was hypertension and when I added the ace inhibitor to my

calcium channeler, it really cut down on the pain.

Was having mid back pain that was like a steel band

around my chest. Went to an osteopath who did some

adjustments and I can breath. My ribs were

constricting my diaphragm. " Oh, What a relief it is. "

If we only can find the right person with the right

solution, there is one there somewhere. Keep on

trying. Lovingly, Star
