Hello,

Age: 32

Female

Symptoms started with a pain in my right chest area when I took a

breath, then continued to hurt and radiate down my right arm, Since

May 22, the pains have continued to spread throughout my entire body.

But the constant chest pains are there always....always...and

always...

Diagnosis: First, plurasy, then costochondritis, now fibro.

Well, since this is a new diagnosis, my weight is ok now, but

exercise is a prescription my doctor gave me Friday as " homework " .

Still working full time, as much as I can stand...

Trying relaxation and prayer so far for easing the pain, as well as

Ultracet given to me from the doctor on Friday. I was happy to

receive anything because I had tried Predisone, Alleve, Ibuprofen

800, Xanax and percocet since May and the only two that actually

worked had awful side effects (Xanax, made me soooooo irritable, it

was awful, I was the wicked witch of the west and Percocet, I was a

Zombie, you can't be Zombie Mom) So I told the Doc, no narcotics,

thank you. I am also taking Elavil to try to sleep.

My mother and dad and sisters are very thoughtful and caring, so is

my husband but he is having a very hard time adjusting to helping out

around the house. He has always cooked, but never quite got into

laundry and that is our biggest issue right now, I can't lift hardly

anything, especially a laundry basket full of clothes. Maybe again

one day, but not now. And this has made me realize that he is not

adapting so well, and doesn't really want to talk about it. HELP!!!!!

My GP at first just sent me to the ER, then the ER doctor sent me to

the pulmonary doctor, then the pulmonary doctor sent me back to the

GP, finally we came up with the diagnosis of Fibro, and now in Sept.

I have an appointment to see my first Rheumatologist. But until then,

My GP has been very caring and has said to call him if I continue to

have problems or have any new symptoms. Pain, pain and more

pain...that's my symptoms. :)

Positive attitude has helped me more than anything...Keep a positive

attitude, it's either that or cry all the time...Positive attitude,

Smile

a Faye
