Guest guest
The leg pains are one of my worst fibro symptoms! They hurt ALL the time, morning is the absolute worst, I can bearly pull myself out of bed and hobble to the bathroom. Thinking back, I remember that I noticed several years ago that I was taking very short little steps when I would go out first thing in the morning to get the paper. I would have to make a conscious effort to lengthen my stride, that was way before my legs actually started to ache all the time. It must have been an early warning sign? I used to really like taking little hikes, can't believe I am so crippled up now. If it is this bad in my 50's what will it be like in my 60's? Has anyone ever read anything about what happens to older people with fibro???? Many mornings I take a double dose of ibuprofen just to be able to walk around enough outside to get all the animals fed, the pain does seem to be more tolerable as the day goes on. Also, if I sit down for even a few minutes ( to " rest " ...ha!) when I get up again my feet and legs hurt so bad I can hardly move at all for awhile. I think someone here mentioned that her doctor said that may be because the nerves retract at rest and have to stretch again when you start moving? My partner, , has the leg pains as almost her worst symptom too. Most of the time when we have to go anywhere she justs waits in the car for me or finds somewhere to sit and rest ( it's so nice of stores to provide those displays of patio furniture and swings LOL). Just out of curiosity, how many people here do use scooters sometimes? Sue
