Guest guest
Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce our new foster baby, her name is Star and she is five days old. She was crack addicted and pot exposed but so far isn't having as many problems as Felicity had so maybe she is going to be lucky. She should just be here about a month. a

Guest guest
I think she is a cutie. She is real good to, not a screamer or fussy. I hope she gets to stay the whole month so we can get to know her and get her more stable, but we will take what we can get. They might need us to take another one with her as I guess they are flooded with babies right now. I think they know we are easy to convince, lol. a OH PAULA !! Guest guest
She was seven at birth and had gotten up to 9 but is around 8 now. She is not a good eater, we really have to work with her to eat three ounces and she sleeps all day. I finally got to see her eyes today! a Wow, she looks big! How much does she weigh? Guest guest
MM, If she doesn't go home then she would stay here. We have never had a baby from birth. We got Keyone at 7 months and Josh at 8 months. Felicity came from the hospital but was three weeks. This baby still has her umbilical cord on her so I am calling my DR in the morning to see what I should do as far a care for it. We got some tiny barretts for her and hair clips and they work in her hair. I just love doing this part, it's just handing them back if it's not safe that hurts. a a C., She is gorgeous, and do they already have a placement arranged for her? I'd snap thatangel up in a minute. Love you, MM
Guest guest
a C., I know about the hurt part. That's why I never had the strength to take temporaries like you do. I had to hand them back to hurtful situations just once too many times. Can't do it any more. I'm afraid I'd be headed for Canada or part unknown with any child like that nowadays. I'm much more brave and foolhardy now than I was in my younger days. LOL I do wish I could pass a physical, though, to adopt more kids. I know, I know, the stress is bad for me, but I really do want more kids. The county and state won't work with me, though, because of my health. Pffffft...as used to say. So, is it a drug cleanup compliance order that the parents have to meet? I hope they can do it, and stay clean. I know it's hard for them to break a habit, and stay straight. Seen a lot of them not make it. It's so hard on kids to be sent home, then jerked out, then sent back, etc. Too much like being an emotional yoyo. Good luck with this little one. I know if anyone can get her healthy, it's you guys. Love and hugs, MM
Guest guest
mm, I know what you are saying. I think that if we didn't have our three that we were supposed to adopt still here, I don't think I could take anymore either. When a baby leaves I know we still have two two year olds and six big kids that need us so we can't fall apart. I honestly do not know what is going to happen to them. I just found out that even though we were supposed to find out wether we can adopt Josh or they are going to send him back on August 2nd. Now I found out today that they are planning to ask for an extension of up to six more months. We have had him for over a year and a half, this is crazy. We also still wont know about Freddie and baby Keyone until mid August and their mom is having a jury trial so who knows what may happen there. This is the hard part. The day to day living with the kids part, it's worth all that. a
