I'm sorry you had to get a date change, my sister had to do the same

thing because of falling and hurting her back, but she finally got to the

other side on May 12th. I hope you get your birthday date and you will always

have two reasons to celebrate on that date!!!!!Good Luck and God speed!!!!!!

Oh, . I'm so sorry. I know you were up for this!!! Well, it sounds

like you'll be able to celebrate your birthday for two major reasons. Maybe

this was the way it was meant to be. I know how disappointed you must be.

Well at least now you can take some pain pills!

Hugs to you. Let me know if I can do anything for you.

Love,

Amy.

Hi ,

For about the first three days it seemed like if I laid on my side

things inside would move a bit. On the morning of the fourth day I woke up

laying on my stomach and I didn't have any pain and no movement inside. I

haven't noticed any since. I'm a side/stomach sleeper and I'm not having any

problems, I two weeks post-op tomorrow. I'm really feeling good.

Are you feeling ok?????? Isn't this surgery amazing??????? Have you

weighed to see how much you have lost? Keep me posted.

Best Wishes,

Genz

Funny about the gall bladder surgery issue. My cea (pimples and papules)

began appearing about the time I had my first gall bladder attack, which was

also around the time I began hormone repacement therapy. A year and a half

later, I had my gall bladder removed and thought this would definitely solve

the rosacea issue. IT DIDN " t. It continued on, even after eventually stopping

the hormones (for other reasons), my rosacea continues unabated or affected

by ANYTHING.

Shandi,

I'm glad you decided to come back. Personally, I have never noticed

that my fibro symptoms got worse after surgery, and I've had 5 of

them. I think it's different for everyone. My laparoscopy to check my

ovarian cysts was outpatient. I was home the same day. Now, as I had

this done over 10 years ago, I can't say for certain if the pre-

surgery procedure is the same, but that was the worst part. I had to

dry swallow like 30 very tiny pills, that cause air to bloat up your

stomach, so that the doctor can see with the scope. I hope it's

different now, because those little air bubbles dispersed all through

my system, so I had air bubbles in my shoulders causing interesting

pain. I'm sorry to tell you, out of all my surgeries, both knees,

ankle, etc., this was the most painful one. It's the only one where I

was given demerol in post op. But after about 3 days, the air bubbles

were all gone, and I felt fine. So it's really not all that bad. You

should have someone to help you if you can though, for a few days

afterward. It would make things a little easier on you.

I hope this helps, and I hope I didn't scare you. I know you'll be

fine, and I'm glad to hear Zoloft is helping you. It's only been

about 5 days, and already I feel different. It's not doing anything

for the pain, but I'm coping much better now. As well as I was back

in Feb. The only worrying thing about it, is it suppresses my

appetite, which is not a good thing for me, since I am at best an

indifferent eater. Anyway, I know your laparoscopy will go fine.

Please don't worry about it. That will only make things seem worse.

Take care,

Hi Shandi! Glad your back! I had laproscopic exploratory surgery

done in 2000 where they found many cysts because of PCOS, it was done

as an outpatient procedure. I was sore and achy afterwards for a

couple days but nothing to the extreme. When I had my surgery done I

didn't have to take any pills before hand thank goodness! I guess

they fill you with air through a tube because I had that gassy

feeling through my body too, like in the shoulders etc... I was given

percocets for the pain and discomfort which really helped me. Good

luck with your procedure I'm sure you'll do fine!

Hi ,

Those 30 tiny pills sound very familiar. I think I took something

similar when I had an upper GI to check for evidence of crohn's

disease. They made knock these tiny crystals into the back of my

throat and take them without water-blech. They are going to actually

remove a cyst so I figure there will be some pain afterwards. It's

painful enough right now! Don't worry about scaring me, lol, I have

medical phobias and I freak out when they take my temperature.

Actually the zoloft is helping me approach it more calmly. The only

problem I've had is moving up to 50 mgs of zoloft. I have noticed I

am dizzier, more fatigued and have sinus like headaches that started

the day after I upped my dosage. However, I am calm, so it's kind of

a trade off. Thanks for the heads up, , I do appreciate it,

cause the doctors have told me very little about this surgery!

Hi Dana,

lol, I am so relieved I don't have to take those pills. I found it

deeply unpleasant when I had my GI. Fortunately I had my cysts found

through ultrasound, so when they go in, they kind of already know

where the cyst of doom is. It's on the outside of the ovary or

possibly hanging off a tube, so they said it would be easier to

remove than most cysts. I hope they're right...
