Guest guest
Hi All, I wrote on Sunday saying I felt achy and not so good.. and didn't know if it was the flu or thyroid symptoms.. well, I ended up getting a little sick with a bug.. that was a long way of saying.. sometimes when I get sick I don't take my supplements or medications... like today.. though I did take thyroid in the a.m. what I'm wondering is, are the consequences if you miss a time of taking your thyroid meds? I'm in bed with no energy.. so I figure.. why take anything to pep me up since I'm in sleep mode anyway.. ok.. I probably know the answer to this already.. keep taking your meds!! yes? And with a low body temperature you will stay sick longer than if your metabolism were working right. When you skip meds (thyroid) your system thinks it is shutting down from some horrid happening. Such as when you are in starvation mode, your thyroid shuts down production to save what energy it has for taking care of the important organs, and your extremities suffer untold damage due to lack of circulation and the fluid that will build up when that happens. They you start taking your meds again, you are already having to repair all that damage before you can actually spare energy for your life. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, " You're next.
