Guest guest
Does anyone have sleep problems diagnosed without sleep apnea. I got my sleep study results and my doctor first told me they were fine after glancing at the paper(he always does this). So I made him read them in detail and he said I have no stage 4 sleep, my stage 1 which is supposed to be like 12 minutes was 160 minutes long and the whole sleep cycle was 225 minutes, with barely any in REM. I don't have sleep apnea, nor do I snore even remotely. (I had emergency surgery a year and a half ago and the nurse thought I was dead, I was just sleeping peacefully) So needless to say I don't wake up feeling refreshed, I feel like I got hit by a truck. Psychologically this is really bad because I KNOW how I'm going to feel when I wake up so it's getting really hard to go to sleep. Why sleep when I feel ok now and I'll just wake up feeling worse and it takes all day to feel ok again? I've been thinking of taking a sleep aid like Ambien or possibly something else that would force Stage 4 sleep. Anyone have luck with sleep aids?
