Guest guest
Hi, folks. I have some 8 (ok, 7) week labs. I'm feeling really freaked about self-dosing atm. These labs were 1 grain for 5 weeks, then 1.5 grains for 2 weeks. I have since gone to two grains and was planning to go to 2.5 on Monday. On 1 grain, I felt really uneven. A typical week would contain 1-2 decent days, 1-2 horrid days and 2-3 mediocre days. 1.5 grain really evened me out, especially once I split the dose into .5 grains in the am, 2 pm and bedtime. 2 grains has me feeling pretty good, comparatively speaking. I only need 2-3 naps during the week and I still have a little trouble speaking and writing fluently, but my mood and energy levels are a lot better. On one grain, my BBTs were 96.4 ish pre-ov and 97.0-ish post ov. My daytime temp never broke 98, usually in the 97.6 range. On 2 grains, by BBTs are 97.4ish pre-ov and I don't know yet post. I got one daytime reading of 98.2 and I was stunned. I haven't seen 98 in about 10 years. Here's the rub: the nurse who called me said " Doctor says your results are fine except for the ferritin. " the word 'fine' made me wayyy too scared to discuss a 'legal' increase. I don't see her for another couple weeks, and I do have a '2nd opinion' appt with Rouzier in PS who just started my sister on 2 grains. Right now, I'm officially only on 1 grain. ------------------------- Doc's office just called, some, but not all of my results are in. TSH .61 FT 3 3.4 (2.3 - 4.2) midpoint is 3.25 FT4 .97 (.8-1.8) This is DOWN from 1.3, could the T3 be supressing my T4 already, or with only 7 weeks, am I not fully absorbing the T4 yet? Ferritin 14 Ouch. Down from 18. Doc is giving me a scrip for an iron med. This is after 2 months on OTC iron supps. B-12 1740 no range yet estradiol 71 (it was day 7) no range yet Testosterone 41 no range yet Hardcopy is coming in the mail, and there will eventually be progesterone, Vit D, DHEA and catecholamines, too. Thanks everybody! Friday
