So, had his appointment at 1 this afternoon. We did a UA and strep swab, first. Both were normal. The we did a chest film (normal) and a ton of labs. Here they are:

Platelets - 157

(Two H things in his CBC were 13 & 36 - but she rattled the names so quickly I didn't catch and haven't looked on his sheet)

WBC - 3.1

Sed Rate - 4

Albumin - 4.3

ALP - 110

ALT - 16

AST - 25

Bili - 0.2

Creatinine - 0.6

BUN - 15

Potassium - 4.6

Sodium - 145

So, basically everything normal. With the exception that his sodium is, again, teetering on the edge, meaning we will likely have to do that horrendous water depravation test again, which was horrible for him, and get him back on the dDAVP for his diabetes insipidus. Because even with all the water he drinks all day long, he's still registering *almost* dehydrated.

We're waiting on a CRP which will be back tomorrow, and something else that's coming back tomorrow. They also drew a CMV, which is a send out, and had better be negative, also.

In short, we don't know.

Now the question: the doctor asked me this: "Since being on his immunosuppressants, does show symptoms when he's sick?"

This question has now put me into a new state of paranoia!!!!! I mean, I know that the immunosuppressed system has a harder time creating a fever, therefore the lower fever "threshold". But is it possible for them to have a harder time showing symptoms of an illness, also? has never been "normal" on being symptomatic with things. Not having symptoms until things are a ways in, things going from nothing to really bad in a short time, etc. (Negative strep test to full scarlet fever in 3 days time, hand foot and mouth blisters for 4 weeks, junk like that.)

Anybody? Anybody?

Jeez, this kid makes me crazy!!!
