Guest guest
, I have burning hands too, but not as bad as what you describe. My hands get plenty of exercise with spinning and knitting also! In fact, if I let several days go by without doing at least a little knitting, my hands actually bother me more. If your hands hurt or go numb while spinning, change the position of your hands every few minutes. Sometimes I spin with the hand nearest the orifice palm-down, sometimes palm-up. And I've learned to switch hands as to which is nearest the orifice and which controls the fiber supply. If you're a spindler also, I highly reccommend top-whorl spindles that you can roll down your thigh to set them twirling. Much less repetitive stress on your hands.
