Guest guest
, I did receive it, thank you very much. I like that you noted anything significant at the bottom. And, it looks like your panels are showing steady improvement which is great. Thanks again, it was helpful to do a comparison. Guest guest
> How long ago did you have your transplant? Nearly two years ago now... >Do they still track your cancer markers and what were yours before >your transplant?- They don't track cancer markers any more.. I suppose if the PSC were to come back they'd probably start again, but I haven't had any since the transplant. They varied a lot before the transplant. CA19-9 had a high of 165, and Alpha Fetoprotein had a high of 4.8. I've posted an Excel file with all my labs pretransplant on the files section. athan
Guest guest
athan, Thank you for sharing your numbers with us. I’ve found it very helpful and it has eased my anxiety about where I am right now a little bit. It’s especially helpful since you are not “on the other side” with receiving a transplant and we can see how things ramped up there just before TX. It gives me hope that I may have many years ahead before I need my TX – if labwork mapping is any indication. If I may ask (and please don’t feel obligated this might be too personal), what happened in 1991? It looks like your liver panels were quite high there and then returned to a more normal level within 6 months. Was this when you were first diagnosed? And, were you put on any treatment at that time? Guest guest
In '91 I'd been having what turned out to be gallbladder problems for a while. I ended up with a bad blockage, likely due to a stone. They suspected PSC, because of a history of UC in my family and because I didn't fit the demographic for gallstones. It turned out that the gallstones were cause by the PSC. The blockage cleared on it's own the day before my first ERCP. athan
