Guest guest
Hello everyone I am Mo and this list has been recommended to me today. I am at the very beginning stages of looking into the possibility that I am hypoadrenalic (if that's the right word!) and hypothyroid. I have been assessed as such on clinical signs and the first test I have done has come back today, the adrenal profile. The figures are below. I am hoping this group will be able to give me some feedback on these figures to enable me to understand and maybe some tips about supplementation. Salivary cortisol 8.00 10.2 6.0 to 33.0 noon 11.2 4.0 to 28.0 (this one was actually taken at 1.30 pm) 4.00 6.1 4.0 to 11.8 midnight 5.0 1.0 to 5.0 DHEA 8.00 8.2 4.0 to 29.0 noon 7.1 2.5 to 13.0 4 pm 4.6 2.0 to 6.0 midnight 3.4 1.0 to 4.0 Comments: Salivary cortisol relatively flat profile with values tending towards the lower end of reference range (particularly early morning) DHEA: overall profile indicates normal hormone output. Not at all sure what this means apart from that my DHEA seems to be OK. Any insights would be welcome. Thanks. Mo
