Guest guest Posted August 11, 2004 Report Share Posted August 11, 2004 Hi everyone. I'm back from my vacation in the Redwoods. It was really great to see my brother and my mom and aunt. We had a really good relaxing time. I came home to find that my ex had taken a lot of things that are not his when he moved out over the weekend. I had already moved all of his things out of the house and into the garage. He even took things that were mine before I met him. Guess I'm going to have to change the locks. I told him if anything else goes missing I will report him for stealing. Of course he got upset and started playing the victim. I just wish he would go away and stay away. I keep setting boundaries and he keeps crossing them. Hope he stops before I have him arrested. I have to run...I have major catch-up to play at work today. Guest guest Posted August 11, 2004 Report Share Posted August 11, 2004 - Glad you had a good time while you were away. It's too bad you're ex can't seem to cope with his decision to leave you. And really a shame that he took things that didn't belong to him as well as things he'd agreed you could keep. You had said you (both) were going to keep the house because of the financial investment and so that you wouldn't loose money. But I wonder if a (small) loss might not be worth the peace of mind knowing that what's yours is safe? If you truly can't sell the house at this time, would it be possible for you to rent it out so you could move somewhere else? Or at the very least get a legal agreement that spells out under what specific conditions the ex is allowed on the premises - as well as how any income (either from sale or rent) is to be apportioned?
