Guest guest
Something that's been kicking around - many of us are trying to lose weight as we get healthy; have any of you had to adjust your dose down as you've lost weight? Or have any of you found you've had to increase when you're more active? I am pretty active - or used to be! - so I'm thinking I might need more than someone my size who wasn't active... Does that make sense? It's how own own thyroids would work if they could, right? Nat
Guest guest
Excellent question. Actually, as you lose weight, you may become MORE active. So, your needs could increase, but by a very small amount if you are already on an good dose. That's what the T4 is there for, remember--a storage hormone that can convert to the needed T3. Based on an active experience I had more than a year ago (climbing a very long and steep hill), I have decided that in the future, if I do something like that again, I am definitely going to take another 1/4 grain before I go, or another 1/4 grain afterwards, just in case. Janie ============== Janie, " Just In Case " has become my mantra of late Thanks for your input. Nat
