Guest guest
I am definitely going to see about getting this Back to Eden book to read after I am finished with the one I'm reading now. It goes along similar lines in the area of diet and exercise. The book I am reading is amazing but also very distressing...there's a lot of stuff in there that I'd be better off not knowing but at the same time that distressing news is even more of a motivation to change my diet and detox my body. Anyway...the book is called WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW MAY BE KILLING YOU by Don Colbert. If any of you have read this book please let me know...I would love to talk about it and some of the possible implications of mercury on fibromyalgia and other disorders as well (namely autism). And Steve, I think Mick is very lucky to have you (and you to have her too) and I'm glad you've both gotten through this together Jen in Iowa > Each and every success story shared on > thing in common, THEY ALL INCLUDED A NATURAL FRUIT > AND VEGETABLE AND LOW FAT DIET THAT RESTRICTED > ADDITIVES AND AN EXCERCISE PROGRAM!!!! Guest guest
The first chapter of the book is about mercury and all of the damage it can do. It discussed mercury amalgam fillings and the effects of mercury in the body (causes an autoimmune response). Here is just one quote from the book... " When mercury enters the membrane of a cell, the body's immune and surveillance systems may say that these are abnormal cells that must be dealt with. The immune system defends the body by forming antibodies against the body's own cells, which can lead to rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, multiple sclerosis, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases. " I am mostly upset about the mercury issue because I have fibro (among other things) and I have a son with autism and the book actually says that the mercury crosses the placenta and collects in fetal tissue. I have a mouth full of mercury fillings and I want them out. I just thought it was very interesting. The rest of the book covers things such as dehydration, detoxification (of mercury and other toxins), the 'dieting deception', the importance of minerals and vitamins, and the perils of household and personal care products. At the very least the book is informative...at worst, downright scary. Not promoting the book at all, just thought it's been the most illuminating $20 I've ever spent. Guest guest
Hello Thank you so much for all your kind words:) I do feel so lucky to have my husband. He was always there for me and I thank God that I have him. I will check out the book you are reading right now. And please do check out " Back to Eden " it is an excellent book. Right now I am reading a book called " The Food Pharmacy " by Jean Carper. It shows all the scientific research that is being done on the healing properties of fruits and veggies. It also has some information on meats too in regards to their healing properties. I was surprised by that research but found it very interesting. I wish you the very best of luck, and any way that I can help you at all please let me know:) Peace and blessings, Mick JENNIFER ARNOLD wrote:I am definitely going to see about getting this Back to Eden book to read after I am finished with the one I'm reading now.
