Guest guest
Welcome to our list, Jim. I think that you will get some good answers here. This is a loving, caring and supportive group. If you feel like venting, feel free to do so. Most of us have at one time or another. I have fibro, tinnitus, polyarthritis, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy in my legs, I also have TMJ and I have those small strokes and I take Plavix, a blood thinner, for those. I have had a bad one while taking this medication but I can't take a stronger one because I lose my balance and fall a lot. I take MS Contin, which is really morphine, Vicodon for breakthrough pain, Effexor XR 75 mgs. Two in the morning and one at lunch. Klonopin 1 mg. It take 1 1/2 in the morning, 1 1/2 at lunch at 3 at bedtime, Remeron, 45mgs at bedtime to help me sleep, Glipzide for diabetes, Adderall 35mgs in the morning and 20 mgs at noon in the hopes of giving me some energy and try to help with the fatigue. We have upped it once and it does help me some. At least enough to get things done but I am still very tired and my energy is usually gone by 3/ There. You probably learned more than you wanted but I do hope that some of what our members tell you will help. Take care, Irene Books may well be the only true magic Alice Hoffman
Guest guest
First of all, how do you reply to someone's post? Jim, I am sorry for your problems, but as they say, misery loves company, so maybe you can find some compassion here To share symptoms, mine are insomnia, severe fatigue (i had to quit my job) , waking up feeling like I was hit by a Mac truck, general achiness, skin sensitiv e to the touch, hypoglycemia, migraines, tender points, flu like symptoms I take 5-10 mg of Elavil a night for sleep and .25 of Klonopin. If you don't want to take drugs (and neither do I) try chamomille tea, and calcium/magnesium/zinc combo capsule to sleep. It really does help. I told this to my doctor and she laughed at me! Stress aggravates the condition, so I try breathing exercises and muscle relaxation. I am going to try massage therapy and maybe shiatsu (if I can afford it) Good luck and hope some of this helps.
