Guest guest
Hi all, I hope this Monday finds all of you in good spirits, that is my hope. I was wondering if any of you experince noticeable swelling, such as in the legs, feet, face, etc. I am still learning about FM and even though I have read a lot, been told a lot and have experienced a lot, I still do not understand this all that well. My rheumatologist does not believe in actual " pain killers " but rather in supplements. He has put me on Proantho-C, CoQ10 ST-100, Myocalm and others. Since I also have psoratic arthritis he also has me taking EPA-DHA (fish oil). The psoriasis is out of control at this time and so is the pain. I have been praying for the strength to fight this, but at times I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. I have not worked in a year and my whole life has been about working up the corporate ladder. I have been taking Ambien for the sleep problem and some nights it works and others I still wake up at 2 or 3 am and stay awake. I thank all of those that have emailed me such supportive and informative emails about how their lives have been affected by this disorder. I am currently battling with my insurance company over paying the bills to the rheumatologist and also for long term disability. I decided a year ago that I would be back to work in a couple of months, but I was wrong. I put off attempting to apply for any type of disability, because to me, I would be losing the war rather than winning it. But now, it has been a year since I have worked and my savings is gone and I am living on borrowed money. God has been good to me and I know that he is watching over me. But I am still human and I know that I am on a " pity pot " right now, but that is just another hurdle that I will jump over! Thanks again for listening, I am so glad that I have found this group!
