Guest guest
Hope this helps... this is how I found a doc... http://www.co-cure.org/USA_FL.htm PS I'm new and haven't posted before this, but I did have this info, so I wanted to pass it on. jessica_miracleshapn wrote:My insurance coverage has changed to United Healthcare, and my doc for the last 6 yrs does not accept patients with this insurance, nor do several other FM/CFS doctors that I called. I can't bear to go through the humilation I've gone through so many times before when trying to find a helpful doctor who believes in this disorder...do any of you know of compassionate helpful doctors in the Tampa/Orlando/Sarasota//Lakeland area? I'm trying not to panic, but the memories of those other doctors are freaking me out. I just can't bear to go through that experience again! Many thanks in advance,

I'm new, too. I did call almost all of the doctors on this list @ Co-Cure, and none of them take my insurance--how scary is that?! (I ran out of time on Friday to call the others, only 2 left) I'm really getting nervous, now. I'm hoping somebody else out there has United Health Care ins. and will let me know who they go to. If I have to, I'll travel out of state. Anything to avoid humiliation at the hands of a disbelieving scoffing doctor again. Thank you again, I really appreciate it. Guest guest
I have that insurance. First, check to see if there are any doctor's on the plan or in your area, if not then United Healthcare has to pay for a doctor that isn't on the plan. My pain management doctor isn't on my plan, but my insurance has to pay for it because there aren't any pain management doc's within so many miles of me. I think it's 50 miles, I could be wrong, it might be less. I paid an initial fee of $75. (may be different for the doc you pick), after that I just pay the co-pay of $20. You can go to myuhc.com and register. From there you will be able to check the doctor list for doc's in your area and benefits, etc. If you need any help just let me know. Rhonda Help--Florida doctors? My insurance coverage has changed to United Healthcare, and my doc for the last 6 yrs does not accept patients with this insurance, nor do several other FM/CFS doctors that I called. First, check to see if there are any >doctor's on the plan or in your area, Thank you for the tips, Rhonda! Now I just need some good doctor names to look into to see if they are on the plan. I'm not going to choose one blindly anymore; not after the bad experiences I've had in the past. -Thanks again
Guest guest
If you don't like the first, go onto the next and keep going till you get one you like. That is what I did with a few of my doc's. Yea, it's a pain in the butt, but I got to test and choose who I wanted. You are employing them and you have a right to fire them too! Don't be afraid to doctor shop. You're welcome! Rhonda > > Thank you for the tips, Rhonda! Now I just need some good doctor > names to look into to see if they are on the plan.
