Guest guest
It's been quite some time since I've been on here, but I thought I'd update all of you on what has been going on. I became an inactive member last July because I couldn't mentally handle reading what was to come in my future. I still intend to remain that way, but just wanted to give some positive news. I'm pregnant and everything is going very smoothly. My liver levels are within normal ranges (as they do whenever I'm pregnant). By the way, I asked the gastroenterologist about this phenomenon, and he said that it was likely due to the increased volume of blood that occurs during pregnancy. The increase in volume essentially dilutes the waste products in the blood, bringing the values back down to normal levels. Makes sense to me. Unfortunately, when I asked about a blood volumizer in drug form, he claims none has been made yet. It was a thought anyway... So, I was diagnosed in Fall of 2007, and have had an uncomplicated pregnancy thus far (and I don't see any reason for that to change!). I will be watched closely after the birth because the hormonal effects on the immune system. I will update again come May or so to let you all know the outcome! I'm due May 6th.
