Yes it does if used for about 3 weeks consistently with no breaks.

But up to a week of use should not cause any problems.

1 teaspoon of licorice root in a tea 4 times a day avery 4 hours is

roughly equivelent to 15 to 20 mg of cortisone. Licorice works by

slowing the breakdown of cortisone in the liver, so it keeps what

you make in the system longer.
