Guest guest
I hope no one is planning their future or banking on the results of any of these polls. While they may be somewhat helpful, you can’t count on your course following any information found here. For example #1 how long since your diagnosis/had a transplant…. People can be diagnosed in any stage of PSC, so time from diagnosis to tx isn’t going to be helpful. My son was diagnosed at stage 4, it was 7 years before his surgery. If he had been diagnosed when he was stage 1, who knows how many years I could of marked, but he wasn’t. Also, this poll only allows you to make one mark. So I couldn’t check both liver tx within 5-9 years and second tx within 0-4 years. Nothing wrong with doing polls, just take the information with an extra large grain of salt. Guest guest
I made some changes to the poll using all of your suggestions. WOuld have made more but it would not let me. I asked this question to try and help myself get a better understanding of what might really be related to PSC and what might not be. There just seems to be so many opinions and so few answers. Guest guest
Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the group: Poll by Barb in Texas. I come across a lot of transplant stories. 99.9% good - great news. Stories about children & adults. Transplants not only due to PSC, but other liver diseases. Would you like to read them? Should I post them to the group? o Yes, send all you find. o Yes, but send only stories concerning PSC. o Yes, but only send stories about adult transplants. o No, don't send any. Guest guest
Hmm...can you add another option?I'm interested in innovations in transplants, whether liver or not, whatever disease, or whatever age (like the prospect of growing your own organs - or preliminary successes in transplanting of those organs, or artificial organs, or new anti-rejection drugs). I would quickly get overwhelmed by the appearance of every article on transplants - and even though they might be encouraging - I am not sure I would learn much from them. None of the options you offer really captures what I would be interested in. , Mom to 18 yo daughter UC 6/95, PSC 3/09From: " " < >To: Sent: Tuesday, March 31, 2009 2:08:19 PMSubject: New poll for Enter your vote today! I would quickly get overwhelmed by the appearance of every article on transplants Hi , I do send in those kinds *if* they are about PSC or Livers, the rest (about other organs or other diseases) would fill everyone’s inbox and I’d be spending all day every day just sending in links, besides they would be Off Topic. Guess you’ll just have to click NO stories. Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight - Whatever it Takes!
