Guest guest
, Hi! I wasn't quite sure whether you were asking if the specific length of time for the stent removal was unusual or the removal of a stent itself. If it's the latter, stents are removed. If it's the former, I'm not sure if there's a specific time-out period for stents. I've had them put in and removed the very next day, put in and removed the next week, put in and removed in a month, etc. I think it depends on each individual and how our bodies react to the stents. For me, they were always incredibly painful and my doctors ultimately decided that stenting me was just not an option any longer. Although it's horrible to have to go in and out of procedures/ERCPs, I don't think your daughter's two-week removal is necessarily a cause for alarm. If you're worried though, I'd definitely discuss it with her doctor. Hope this helped! Sandi in VA/Rochester
