Guest guest
I worked for a company that provided COBRA benefits. I would get tons of calls from people who had no idea they could extend their benefits due to SS. By the time they figured it out, it was too late, they had missed the deadline and that's it. COBRA does not give people a second chance. I would tell everyone to please read the fine print. Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? Make dinner for $10 or less. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Since this message subject line has a " RE: " in front of it. I assumed that there most be an origanal message. I don't have it in my message box. So I went to the PSC support website to search for it. The search did not even turn up the message from Barb! Is there something wrong with the way I searched? Ian Ken used his 18 months Cobra when he went from Full to Part time. He didn’t want to take “welfare” so he used up his Cobra. What a HUGE mistake! We found out later that *IF* he had went on (or applied for) disability, we could have extended his Cobra to a full 2 years (the exact time it takes to get Medicare). I think he had to do it within 2 – 3 months of first starting Cobra. Something you might want to look into. We could have avoided paying big bucks if we could have continued Cobra, instead of paying for Texas’ High Risk Pool, of course Cobra is pricey enough!
