, for years before peri-meno hit me, I figured it was going to

wreck havoc with my thyroid. And it did. Before I found out about

Armour, I was simply getting worse and worse--going downhill in leaps

and bounds in my late 40's. Between age 48 and 50, it was profound how

bad I was getting...and got. The previous 25 years, I could manage if

I did very little. Suddenly, in my later 40's, even that very little

was putting me in a miserable hole.

I switched to Armour in 2002 four months after my 50th birthday, and

wow! I started doing really well!! Then, late last year, I was going

downhill again. But it wasn't my thyroid, per se, because I had been

keeping up with that. It was the female hormones. I have increased my

Armour to 3 1/2 grains (from 3 1/4) the past few weeks, with no

problems. I figured with the high estrogen and it's blocking effect on

my T3, it wouldn't hurt.

So yes, I do believe that your own issues have to do with peri. In

fact, I keep thinking that once I get through all this female crap, I

am going to feel fantastic once again thanks to Armour!! Plus, I am

increasing my progesterone once again, so that may help, as well.
