The Michigan Gift of Life volunteer manual lists the following religions as encouraging organ donation or feel it is an individual's decision .

Amish, Assembly of God, Baptist, Buddhism, Catholicism, Christian Church, Christian Scientists,(does not have a specific position regarding organ donation), Episcopal, Greek Orthodox, Hinduism, Islam, Jehovah's Witnesses (all blood must be removed from the organs and tissues before being transplanted), Judaism, Lutheran, Mennonite, Presbyterian, Seventh Day Adventist, Society of Friends, United Church of Christ, United Methodist
