There will be a short presentation about THE JUSTICE AND EQUALITY FOR WORKERS PROJECT of Houston, Texas by Benito Juárez of the City of Houston Mayor's office, a short presentation about the GUIDE TO LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS FOR IMMIGRANT WORKERS IN THE UNITED STATES, MEXICO AND CANADA (forthcoming) by Tequila and María Díaz of the North American Commission for Labor ation Secretariat, and a short presentation about the impacts of the Hoffman Plastics case by labor rights attorney Ana Avendaño Dernier of the National Immigration Law Center. In addition, officials from the Mexican Consulate and several experts in labor and employment rights for immigrant workers, including occupational safety and health, minimum wage and overtime, discrimination, union rights and other related laws will be available to discuss immigrant worker rights and answer your questions about the labor rights of immigrant workers in the United States.
