My thumb is obvious, and my pointer and middle finger also have moons.

But I believe I could see the same even when on crappy Synthroid.

Janie, on optimal dose.

Are you supposed to have moons on your fingernails? I've noticed that

my husband has them but I don't? What does that mean?

That's an interesting question. I can't remember the last time I saw

a moon if ever in life... do some people not have them at all?

I have the barest hint of one on my right thumb. Nada on the rest of

the fingers. I've only been on Armour since January, and while I

think I'm pretty close to my optimal dose, I've only been on it for

10 days.

Cheers,

Friday

I have always had nice big moons.

Are lack of moons supposed to be a hypo symptom?

Yes, that's what I've read numerous places. After reading people's answers,

I'm not sure it's a very reliable symptom.

I don't know if its a recognized symptom, but many who are hypo only have moons

on their thumbs. Ridges are quite common as well. I have both ridges and only

moons on my thumbs.
