Jeannie (and all!),Hi!  I think it was you who asked about PSCers being eligible for organ donation.  The answer is 100% yes.  Even if our livers or bile ducts or whatever isn't usable (and it's my understanding an organ can only be transplanted once, so our "new" livers would be ineligible too..but somebody should correct me if I'm wrong!)..anyhow, we'd still have plenty of viable organs to offer, everything from corneas to hearts to who knows what.  If you're already an organ donor, you don't need to change anything or notify anyone.  If you're not yet an organ

donor (which I believe you said wasn't the case) I don't think they even ask if you have any diseases, at least not through the DMV.  Although, to be fair, I  signed up to be an organ donor over 16 years ago, so things may have changed. As to medical ID cards to carry with you in the case of emergencies, I think the general consensus is, yes, they're a great idea.  If you don't already have one, there are a few places you can go to get some templates.  If you're a member of PSC Partners Facebook, you can check out our wall posts (I think it's there and not the Discussion Boards) and download a copy.  There's also information on how to access one in the archives of this site.  I believe (hope it's okay to say this, Ricky!) that we'll be putting one up on the soon-too-exist new PSC Partners website.  And, last but not least, you can also find a template at:  http://medids.com/free-id.php   I would make sure to include

any diseases (PSC, UC, etc) as well as any allergies, medications you take, etc.  If you have a Mayo Clinic #, you may want to include that.  For mine, I also put on emergency contacts, my main doctors names and numbers, the fact that I have an advanced directive, my insurance company and #, etc.  I just print mine out at home and then laminate it for a few cents at our local office supply store.Anyhow, hope that helped to answer some questions!  Didn't mean to make it quite so long, sorry!  lol  :)Sandi in VA
