This is a friendly place with lots of good information. I am 57 but have had lupus since a teen. I didn’t get a proper dx until I was in my early 40’s. I have lupus, fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis, TMJ dysfunction, IBS, degenerative disk disease, interstitial cystitis, and cognitive dysfunction (lupus fog). I am a cancer survivor and have had several brain seizures and a brain hemorrhage about 7 ½ yrs. ago. Lots of the lupies here have multiple illnesses, some of which (like mine) may have nothing to do with lupus. Feel free to express yourself anyway you like. I am married (25 years). My husband is bipolar and our marriage can be a challenge at times. He is a good, kind, and faithful Christian husband. My kids are grown and both live in different states. I have 3 grandchildren. I suffer from depression, do you? Depression is a chemical problem that people with lupus and fibromyalgia get. I take meds for it. The other thing that happens to us is lack of REM sleep. I take sleeping pills to help me. Again, Welcome, You need to find a Dr. who is willing to bring down that fever. Try looking for a Dr. with this web site http://www.healthgrades.com/consumer/index.cfm? Hi everyone, Just as I thought that there couldn't possibly be another publication of a lupus book that one would need, I found a new recently published book at Borders that I think is wonderful. The book is titled Lupus Q & A Everything you need to know by G. Lahita, M.D., Ph.D (Rheumatologist) and H. , Ph.D. (Psychologist) There are 228 pages of questions regarding every possible aspect of our illness complete with layman term answers. What I like the most is that the layout of the book seemingly deciphers everything regarding lupus. ie; socio-economic, ethnicity percentales, questions from loved ones, etc. I highly recommend this book. The cost is $14.95 U.S. $22.00 CAN. Hello, my name is Dawn Marie, I'm 37 with 3 beautiful children, and I'm married to the nicest man you could ever meet. You'd almost have to be to put up with me with all my bad spells. I live in Missouri and the doctors around here don't seem to have a clue about autoimmune diseases. I am not officially diagnosed with Lupus yet but they are saying that they believe that's the. I'm very sick right now; Can't seem to make my fever go away. And if this is Lupus then there is CNS involvement, for me anyway. It's all so confusing; We just want some answers. Dawn Marie
