Hi Janet and welcome. One the first comments of support we can give

you is to avoid any and all Endo's. Granted, we have heard of a few

good ones, but I do mean a VERY few. Like one per 100,000?? LOL. The

rest are awful. They are Synthroid Nazi's and lab-obsessed. They

will make black ink spots on a piece of paper more important than

screaming symptoms.

Post your labs with ranges. Also tell us your symptoms. Have you

taken your morning, before-you-get-up temp with a mercury

thermometer??

The most informative labs are the free T3 and free T3, by the way.

Yes, I know! I did some homework and his name kept popping up. Plus I

know two people who have seen him (for other problems) and were very

happy as he's not a slave to lab results. I don't know they're

leanings (more traditional than mine, probably)

Now I'm not positive I can see him. I made an appt. a month ago, but

my family doc called him and they said he's not taking any new

patients! So I hope they don't knock me off the books. I, too, am

skeptical of a lot of these enods - I mean endos. (Freudian slip?)

I just hooked up with an ND for later this month. We'll see.

I will post my labs - all over the map. It's a long saga, mine, so

hope I do it succinctly.

Well guess what? Your Dr. Murray is listed as a Top Doc for

Yes to both. But as far as the second question, leave what is

pertinant to your reply so we will know what you are talking about.

I do have to tease Tish and Jamy and occasionally others for failing

to do so. LOL.

Lately a lot of folks who are requesting to join are saying they

heard about this list elsewhere. The word is spreading. We all have

a great mission here.

Janet, that's great. No matter what doc you finally decided upon--

even the best--it's wise to get educate yourSELF. Go to our FILES

section and read everything you can. I will also send you the

NATURAL THYROID 101 paper I created and often post here. I don't

think I've posted it since you joined, but have done it so much

lately that I'll send it direct to you.

Hey, I keep an open container of chocolate chips in the door of my

freezer for easy grabbing daily. What can I say.

Hello Janet,

I would have to agree with Sandy. I went to two of

the Doctors from the list and they would not prescribe

Amour. Go figure?

They said just keep with the 300 mcgs of Synthroid a

day for about the last 6 years. Even though I have

been on Synthroid almost ten years now with steady

increases and switching between Levoxl first for about

three years into it I felt better but now even with

the higher levels no improvement.

Bye,

RockRockette
