Guest guest
I've been offline for awhile -- and well-stocked on my beloved Armour. Now, all of a sudden, pharmacies can't get it?
Guest guest
An explanation of the shortage can be found at the following URL. http://thyroid.about.com/b/a/080895.htm To summarize, there was a production problem with another T3/T4 pill. In response, doctors have switched patients to Armour. This resulted in demand exceeding supply. From the article, it should improve by mid to late summer. Re: Armour shortage??? Scary isn't it? My doc finally agreed to put me on 1/2 grain Armour the 4th of Feb. (I had been on 's therapy meds, and doing very well, but I just couldn't afford it.) Anyway....he upped it to 1 grain yesterday. When I went to Wal Mart to fill my script they wanted to know if 30gms were ok instead of the 60s as " they were having trouble getting it. " YIKES! I'm with you....where DO you get Armour on line? Me thinks I'll try to " stock up. " Becky >Now, all of a sudden, pharmacies can't get it?<
Guest guest
Yeah, but this article is dated April 2004. So the shortage would've been over with *last* summer. Laurie Re: Armour shortage??? Guest guest
There is currently no shortage. Guest guest
too late to stock up on name brand armour online, unless you have a prescription. I do miss it. :-) I'm curious, did you take T3 on 's therapy? If so, how much daily? I remember the first time I took Armour (1/2 grain cuz I was scared).lol. I then took the other half cuz the 1/2 was like taking nothing. I did well on 1 grain. I just ordered Naturethroid since my mom gets a bottle of all my stash! lol. She's doing great too! Oh, and I lost another 3-4 lbs. My pants are getting 'baggy' in the butt and tummy area! I love it! :-) SandyE~Houston Re: Armour shortage??? Scary isn't it? Guest guest
We now have two places where we know folks can get Armour. The rest are stocking Naturethroid or Thyroid-S. Email valharly and request the list of places. Do note that she has to know you or see that you have posted detailed info about yourself here. Guest guest
One of the online pharmacies told me via phone this morning that there *is* an armour shortage that should be corected in two weeks. It's all on backorder. They said they didn't think that I would be able to get it anywhere. I'll let everyone know what kind of luck I have , if any. : ( Sim > Message: 24 > From: " Laurie Brown " said: >>>Yeah, but this article is dated April 2004.
