Guest guest
I didn't catch your name... But, I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and sending out positive thoughts. Please know that you are not alone in your struggles. In fact, I often refer to dealing with the medical community as the most horrible " symptom " . I'm an RN and I used to work for a very busy group of 12 doctors. There are ways to manipulate the clinics to get in. Sometimes I think you're speaking with people who are just doing what they've been told. There has to be a way that you can get in with a rheum. Can you speak to their business office or ask to speak with the founding partner? Call and ask to speak with the clinic manager. That's usually easier than dealing with the front desk. Can your GP write a letter to your insurance company explaining the need for you to be seen by a rheumatologist? I know that this all seems overwhelming. Take it one step at a time. You can do it. Take care,
Guest guest
, I was wondering where you disappeared to. I'm so sorry to hear how bad the past weeks have been. I remember you seemed pretty excited about you hiking trip. I know you have tried many doctors over the years, and I know you were recently trying a large amount of holistic and natural remedies. They're not helping right now, huh? Have you asked you doctor if she would please prescribe an actual pain killer? If you did, what did she say? Maybe even ask her for only short term, just until you can get this flare under control. This high humidity isn't helping at all, is it? I know you mentioned not being to find a new GP right now, but you didn't say why. That would be the best thing of course. I was in another group briefly, and a lot of those group members were actually traveling out of state to doctors who were willing to actually treat their pain. Maybe this is something you could do? I wish I had more or better advice for you, especially about the exhaustion. I do think that is partly the heat. I'd been doing so much better energy-wise, until the past two weeks, with the high temps. Now I'm falling alseep immediately after dinner. And yet, I'm still as exhausted the next day. Please hang in there . Something will present itself. I know it will. Take care.
