Guest guest
I didn't catch your name... But, I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and sending out positive thoughts. Please know that you are not alone in your struggles. In fact, I often refer to dealing with the medical community as the most horrible " symptom " . I'm an RN and I used to work for a very busy group of 12 doctors. There are ways to manipulate the clinics to get in. Sometimes I think you're speaking with people who are just doing what they've been told. There has to be a way that you can get in with a rheum. Can you speak to their business office or ask to speak with the founding partner? Call and ask to speak with the clinic manager. That's usually easier than dealing with the front desk. Can your GP write a letter to your insurance company explaining the need for you to be seen by a rheumatologist? I know that this all seems overwhelming. Take it one step at a time. You can do it.
