Guest guest Posted June 30, 2004 Report Share Posted June 30, 2004 ya'll, I went to have my epidurla shots yesterday, and I am in big pain on top of lupus pain. MY " pain clininc " has a Dr. who goes form different clinics allocer the Dalas/ Ft. worth area. SO if htere is a complication...he is no wehere to be located and no Dr. on call. Great huh,? Well, I am in the process of getting a new pain Dr. and ALL of htem are giving me the run around. My IM doc is limited in what she can and cannot do, but these guys arent. I have bben trying to get an appointment with a new " better one " but they are ridiculously difficult to even get an appt. with. THese shots help, but there is more to all this as we all know. My current pain guy, on the first visit had me sign five million papers, I had no idea of a narrcotic contract. I could only get pain meds form him. FINE anyhow, but since he is so ellusive in his where abouts and does not have back up or24 hour emergency call (of course I didnt know that at first) I was left high and dry with a spinal headach from a leak in the procedure ...I claled my Internal doc and she called in a small does of hydrocodone, so now...he would take of my pain except with Robaxin and Ultacet which truly does very little. I AM NOT a drug seeker. I am doing exactly what they say to do. ANd now, i will be left without a Dr. for while. I am sick, IO cant sit up for two days after these injections and no I am trying to call my Dr. and the new Dr. and the old Dr....but, my IM is helping me out. So, I dont know what to do.
