Guest guest
Ok.. I just spoke with my Endo.. I told him I was not taking the 15mg per day he prescribed of Armour but 45 and 30 mg during the day. He seemed sort of ok with that.. said, well, lets test and see what comes out.. but then, me and my big mouth had to say.. :and I'm taking them sublingually.. silence on his part and then.. " well, there are no studies saying Armour should be taken sublingually.. you may need much less if you are swallowing them " .. I'm hoping someone here will have some written evidence that Armour works better sublingually...only because that's what Doctors put their faith in.. rather than what actually works... Guest guest
AH, the perverbial " Let's test " . If you stick with this Endo, I want you to be prepared that you will perhaps be underdosed by a medical robot who has been taught to go by ink spots on a piece of paper rather than OBVIOUS continuing symptoms. Yes, there are no studies saying Armour should be taken subilngually and WHO CARES!! Grinding of teeth. Any doc who's worth anything SHOULD KNOW that taking most any med sublingually is a SUPERIOR method. And, there is a very good article in our FILES section which explains it. You've now got an Endo who believes in " tests " and who believe in " studies " , and who thinks you will need a lot less if you do it sublingually. Bad news. Yes, folks who do Armour sublingually can need less than those who swallow Armour, BUT SO WHAT??? It sounds like he is setting you up to be undertreated. Janie, mad > Ok.. I just spoke with my Endo..
